BB Creams are all the rage this year, and here at CupCase we are loving this versatile moisturizer that takes care of quite a few beauty musts all in one bottle. If there’s one beauty item you have to have this summer it’s got to be a BB Cream!

So what is a BB Cream exactly? Well the B’s usually stand for Beauty, Blemish, Balm or Benefit to highlight their all-in-one formula. BB Creams serve as moisturizers, make-up base (they’re tinted), anti-aging creams (many have antioxidants and other wrinkle-reducing ingredients) and finally an SPF to protect that beautiful skin you’re applying it to! BB Creams came to the U.S. from those smart gals overseas where in Europe, Asia and even Australia they’re all the rage.

1)      Garnier BB Cream, Miracle Skin Perfecter – For cost-conscious ladies, Garnier, which can be found in most drug and grocery stores, has a great BB cream with Vitamin C. They say it evens tone, hydrates, renews, protects and brightens. Plus, it comes in two different shades: Light/Medium and Medium/Deep.

2)      Clinique Age Defense BB Cream – We’ve long been a fan of Clinique products from our teenage days, so we’re happy to see their version of a BB cream. This one comes in three shades for a greater variety of skin tones. It has a 30 SPF, antioxidants, primer and blemish cover-up included.

3)      Estee Lauder Day Wear BB Cream – Estee Lauder is another classic you can always count on. Their take on the BB Cream comes with a 35 SPF, super anti-oxidant complex, hydration and two tints. They say their cream delivers an instant, even-toned healthy look.

4)      L’Oreal Paris Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream – L’Oreal Paris makes a BB cream with beautifying beads, which are encapsulated pigments infused in an ultra-light lotion with antioxidants Vitamins C&E. They claim their brand hydrates, corrects, evens and perfects. It comes in four shades.

5)      Kiehl’s BB Cream – Count on Kiehl’s when it comes to quality beauty products for sensitive skin! Kiehl’s BB Cream has an SPF of 50, Vitamin C, corrects skin tone irregularities and conceals imperfections. Theirs is paraben, fragrance, mineral oil and silicone free, safe for sensitive skin.

We found most of the BB creams cost between $35-$40 per bottle, but considering you’re getting multiple products in one, it’s a pretty good value. L’Oreal Paris and Garnier’s versions were less than $15 each.

Us girls here at CupCase Your Bras don’t like to travel to the same place year after year – we’re adventurous! Our CupCases want to explore new and undiscovered places. 1)      Argentina – You’ve heard of Italy’s Lake District (you know, where George Clooney has a lovely home…), but did you know Argentina has its own Lake District? With the new Pope Francis who hails from Argentina, we feel like this country is going to be getting a lot of attention in the coming year and we’ll head to the Lake District thanks very much. Made of seven lakes, this is a beautiful region surrounded by three national parks and local wineries. We’ll sip a glass of wine, learn the tango and much on an empanada, all while gazing on a beautiful lake. Sounds good to us!

2)      Myanmar – Myanmar, also known as Burma, has largely closed its doors to tourism until the last couple years. President Obama recently visited the country and was the first sitting president to do so, indicating his approval of the democratic direction this country is headed. Several tour companies, like Backroads and Butterfield & Robinson now offer trips to this undiscovered gem that is truly off the grid. See ancient temples, meet locals who’ve never come across anyone from outside their country, play with macaque monkeys and see an extinct volcano. 3)      Cuba – In the last couple of years, President Obama has also paved the way for Americans to travel to Cuba, once a place closed to us entirely. Now you can discover this charming old world country full of lovely architecture, cultural experiences, arts and more. A variety of tour companies hold People-to-People Educational Exchange licenses from the US Department of Foreign Assets Control that allow them to lead groups on tours that promote education and learning about one another’s countries. Companies offering these tours include: Backroads, G Adventures, Intrepid and others.

4)      Bhutan – Bhutan is a lovely little country hidden in the Himalayas that most people never consider when planning their next adventurous getaway, but we love its peaceful charm. It’s been described as the “last Shangri La.” You’ll likely meet Buddhist monks, see cliff-hanging temples, hike snow-capped peaks, see a giant Buddha statue and more. Can’t you see yourself meditating and doing yoga at the top of the Himalayas? And get this – giant protective penises are painted on the walls of many houses!! We’ve gotta see that…

5)      Croatia – Croatia has been trendy for the last few years and it will continue to be so. If you want a gorgeous coastal vacation with emerald blue seas but fewer tourists, Croatia is your spotl! The Adriatic coast is gorgeous and the perfect place to work on that tan or just bask in the sun. Put on your Costa Del Mar sunglasses, your sun hat and dive into a warm weather adventurous getaway.

Beans. The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition says that upping your fiber intake may help lower your risk of breast cancer! The researchers found that for every 10 grams of fiber a woman added to her daily diet, her risk of breast cancer decreased by 7%. That’s about a 1/2 to one cup of beans (depending on type). Other foods packed with fiber include barley, bulgur, lentils, peas, artichokes, dates and raspberries.

So next time your wandering down the grociery aisle pick up some of these foods, that way both your cart and your cups will be filled with healthy things!

Ryan Seacrest resolved to work on his moves saying “I feel the pressure to be as good as [his girlfriend,Julianna Hough] is. It sounds like a joke, but this is a serious thing for me to accomplish next year.”

Blake Shelton half-jokingly said, “I need to work on being a less controversial Tweeter.” (Although his 2.5 million followers might not be too happy!)

Snooki said, “I want to make money, I want to be a better person, and I feel like I try to accomplish that, but this year it’s a must.”

The busiest travel days are here now that the Christmas craze has passed. As people try to rush home to plan for their New Year celebrations, the airports and roads will be packed throughout the days to come. Therefore, be prepared to survive the long traffic lines, the missing luggage, the damaged luggage, the frazzled TSA employees, and delayed flights. Don’t be surprised if you are waiting for your aircraft to arrive due to previous delayed flights or if you’re boarding your plane, only to be delayed on the tarmac for hours. No traveler can evade this crazy traveling season! So here are a few travel tips from us that will help you get through it all:

• Pack your dedicates separately in case of damaged or missing luggage. You don’t want your fancy, expensive bras to be spoiled by spilled lotions, scuffed by shoe marks or mishandled by TSA! • Bring extra snacks. Although liquids are not permitted through TSA, solid foods are. There is nothing worse than traveling and having to deal with the stress on an empty stomach! Let alone the inflated costs now days…
• If you have a child, bring plenty of distractions, snacks and comfortable clothing. Books, quiet toys and their favorite snacks will do.
• Parent’s with babies, check in as much ‘gear’ as you can because it will be extremely difficult to make your way through security check. Formula and milk are permitted through security check points.
• Lastly, wear comfortable clothing! Taking your shoes off, just to put them back on several times, is too much work. Be as comfortable andas possible while navigating through the airport or sitting in a car for hours.

This weekend is the final push, the last hurrah, or the mad dash to the finish line for those last minute Holiday gifts! Looking around, how did this gift giving mayhem start! 1890′s: This Holiday sketch, although it might not have been drawn of an actual event, captures the sentiments that even 120 years ago people buzzed and bustled(wearing bustles too, perhaps) around the shops to fit lots of toys and goodies on their sleights…

1907: Lovely Victorian ladies in London line up for the shops opening to grab those last minute China Dolls and spinning wooden tops. Even at the turn of the century when Santa was formally addressed as Father Christmas, people pilled shoulder to shoulder for those last minute stocking stuffers (At least they didn’t shove!)

1910: On a quaint street in Quebec these women have their arms filled with presents, and are braving the blistering cold and snow to make sure the gifts under their trees are piled high.

1939: Manhattan goes mad, as hundreds of people crowd into this department store for a last minute chance to get the hottest toys and clothing! (The window display reads “Wedding of the Toy Soldier and the Painted Lady”, maybe that was the Furbies of their day!)

1960′s: Even Illinois is a buzz, in this mall madness ! (Can you spot Santa in the crowd?)
